Rod Appleyard is in private practice as a Chartered Building
Surveyor specialising in the forensic investigation of fenestration
and building envelope defects. Scope of specialism includes
defects in both domestic and commercial property, contractual
and specification matters, technical case support and often
acts as an independent expert witness in disputes. He is also
trained as an adjudicator in disputes between householders and
their contractors or clients / contractors with contractors.
Rod is a fully qualified thermographic surveyor for the identification
of thermal defects and water ingress in buildings. He has appeared
as an independent expert on and advised television programmes
such as Watchdog, Rogue Traders and House of Horrors.
