Colin trained and qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, attaining senior positions in both major cost consultants and medium sized contractors.  Since setting up as a sole practioner in the early 1980's, he has worked on projects ranging throuigh building, civil engineering, development, refurbishment, local authority, NHS, rail infrastructure, manufacturing and in particular electrical, petrochemical, process and power generation.  As well as working throughout the UK, he has represented clients in Italy, Spain, Holland and the USA on disputes ranging from £50k to over £200m as part of international teams.

Colin specialises in forensic quantum analysis relating to loss and expense on disrupted projects, as well as defending actions based upon either detailed or global claim applications, including adjudication, arbitration and mediation support.  Other commissions have ranged from day to day cost management, final account recovery / negotiation, expert reports, due diligence, post acquisition audits, fraud investigation, receivership / insolvency support through to project management.

Colin attended Henley Management College (now Henley Business School) as part of a Masters Degree in Business Administration programme and was awarded a MBA in 1996.  Additionally, in the 1990's he became a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators ands subsequently a branch committee member.  He also acted as a visiting lecturer in Contract Law, is a member of the Society of Construction Law and has appeared on BBC radio covering construction issues.
